“I would have loved to sleep in my bed, but it was occupied by a toddler who, somehow, took up most of the room.” Steve shifted on the couch, opening his eyes just enough to see the woman who had entered the room. 

He cracked a smile, only to close his eyes again. “He sleeps like you do.”
